lame plumber

got an odd call last week from south west water, seems my meter had a leak on my side, only minor so they asked who ived at home etc etc, and said they would work out a refund. So yesterday afternoon I got another annoying call asking for Mr Davies, but for once I didn't put the phone down, it was SWW again, seems they have gone back a few years, and they owe me some £1200 in lost water 🙂 Now I read the water meter regularly, never had a leak till last week or so to my mind, so well happy with the outcome.

Note to self, loosen that nut in a year or so for possible further refund 🙂🙂🙂

On a brighter note, I toddled, or hobbled off to a ferrolli this week that wasn't working, down to the fact it had leaked and shorted the world out. Adviced the owner of the holiday flat a new boiler was in order, but having noticed it needed a vertical flue on a five story high flat roof, I chickened out and quoted £3K TO REPLACE IT.

Dam it if the blighter hasn't just emailed me with the go ahead, so now I need a labourer for all the stairs and a roofer to pop through the skylight to seal the flue. I will be using a full harness and safety line to remove and replace the old one, I really hate heights, but it is Xmas soon and customers need looking after 🙂🙂🙂

Right what is the third thing to cheer me up a bit .....

intergas rapid of course, hence the need for a labourer, they aren't half heavy, HREs are my normal choice but I wanted the flues to match and the rapid is 10mm difference using the jig 🙂

now look here youngster, why have a dog n bark. I have learnt that to much stress buggers the body, too late mind, so in order to preserve what's left it's play safe to be able to play 🙂
