went to do the most basic of jobs yesterday a simple ballvalve replacment in a 10 gallon tank, only some numpty had plasterd it in hawkred god only knows why, i ended up hacksawing through the valve to remove it,i couldent even replace it on the nut inside the tank as the backnut had been fullywound up to the brake down nut on the valve,i can see why the husband dident do it,he probably fitted it😡

It's even worse when immersion heaters are screwed in with it or with boss white.

Couldn't you have split the valve (inside tank) by holding nut and unscrewing valve rather than holding valve and unscrewing nut. (Did that make sense?) I know what you mean though, its always the jobs that you go into thinking this will be an easy one, that turn into a pain in the ar5e.
