Our towel rail is very hot at the bottom and almost cold from about the last 3/4 rails to the top.
I have looked everywhere but all I can see are the two valves at the bottom attatched to the in and out pipes but I cant see a bleed valve, at the top of the two main struts there are like round what might be caps on there but they are fixed tight and I am not sure if they come off or not so I am reluctant to try and remove them.
This was fitted by a professional so I didnt think to ask about this but I really think it does need bleeding,
any ideas.

Pull the covers off on top of the rad to access the bleed nipple. They are normally only plastic chrome effect and need a bit of force to get off.

Thanks for all the help guys but they look pretty solid and they are going to take some force to come off but I will try later.
Cheers

I had this on mine, turned out i must have had an airlock. Following some bleed procedure I found on the web resolved our issue.

Hi,
To everyone who has been helping me to bleed the towel rail, I have done it now as they said I removed the cap on the top right hand side main strut, just got a blade under it and there was the bleed valve, there was quite a lot of air in it so I have topped up the boiler to required level and all seems ok there you go I am 60 years old and I learn something new every day.
Thanks again guys.
