Hi all
this is my first post so please be kind:smile5:

I have a damp patch in the kitchen ceiling, lifted the floorboards above and found damp patch but no signs of leaks, no pipe joins in the run of pipe work but multiple hot and cold pipes in very close proximity.

Is it possible for this scenario to generate condensation which may leads to drips and buildup of water, damp and if it can, is there a solution?

thanks for any help offered

yes it can, have not come across it under floors often. try lagging the cold pipe, you dont have any cisterns overflowing, causing cold water to be pulled thru the main all the time? I assume the condensation is on the cold mains? Is there a route for cooking steam to get to the cold main above? Have you an extractor fan in the kitchen ?

Thanks for your help, I shall try lagging cold pipes, there are no cisterns overflowing, the extract fan is direct to outside and away from water/leak.
cheers robin
