Hi
I have a bit of an issue with my central heating. In a nutshell the upstairs heats up yet the downstairs wont.
I have supplied as much info as possible, I also have pictures available if you think that they may help.
Glow worm 24Hxi (Gas)
Flomasta 6m head pump
7 Rads (4 upstairs, 3 down)
F and E system.
Honeywell V4073A motorized valve
Timeline of events:
Everything works fine
Flow and return to downstairs has been moved due to building work (also 1 rad moved, 1 rad removed)
Upstairs rads get hot, downstairs wont heat up.
Pump stops working, no heating, left alone for the summer.
It starts to get cold and wife is pregnant, have to get it fixed!!
New pump (listed above) is installed; new gate valves either side put in as both were stained and corroded
System refilled and started up; upstairs rads get hot, nothing downstairs.
System drained down, rads downstairs taken off and flushed out using hosepipe. Whilst at it, changed both feed and return valves on all 3 rads. Mains flushed the system on the feed side, then on the return side. Gravity flushed the system on the feed side then on the return side.
Rads put back on, system refilled, bled all rads from downstairs, working my way up.
Turned on system and once again only upstairs rads get hot but nothing downstairs.
System drained back down, all but one rad downstairs has both valves turned off, system then refilled. The one rad downstairs that was on was bled. System turned on and still nothing to that downstairs rad.
All valves that should be open are open, pump is turned onto full speed, motorized valve definitely works as upstairs gets hot when them rads are on, system cleaner used for 1 week between new pump install and next drain down. Inhibiter now in system.
Any help with the issue would be much appreciated
