hi guys if hot water discharges from the vent pipe to a feed and expansion cistern when heating system is running what would be a likely cause .
 
cylinder stat knackerd
boiler stat knackered
cylinder coil split
get an engineer

Wouldn't it discharge over the CWSC if cylinder stat faulty?

If the coil was split wouldn't it possibly overflow in the F&E even if the pump wasn't running?

What about pump/pipework positioning?

sorry read it too quick if its going into the f/e tank poss pump problem blockage or if boiler stat faulty
 
would this be the cause if pump was installed between cold feed and vent and does it matter if pump is mounted horizontal or vertical
