Hey Guys, I recently posted that the overheat thermostat would cut out after a few hours on the central heating i got that changed and the heating is working fine. But before this problem the hot water isnt hot enough even when it is on the highest hot water setting! What could be the problem? Do you think the Limit Thermostat neeeds changing?

Thanks Guys once again 😉 x

Have you checked the boilers gas rate if the gas rate is low then that could be due to undersizing or blockage of the gas supply to the boiler, supply should be 22mm pipe size to within 1 metre of the boiler

Let everything go cold, then run a hot tap.Feel the heating pipes under the boiler,if one is getting warm, the diverter valve is faulty. If the flame keeps going out when the water is only luke warm, then the boiler isn't modulating.Probably a blocked plate heat exchanger.
Just for reference,I once called the Heatline Tech support with a problem, and was told that if the boiler was more than 5 years old it wasn't worth repairing.I queried this,as 5 years isn't very old for a boiler. "It is for one of ours",was the answer!!!! They are made in Turkey, after all.
