I have a heatline capriz 25 with no hot water the boiler lights when taps turned on but then switches off after a few seconds the water in the hot outlet bearly gets warm, someone advised me the spindle will require a service kit but i'm more inclined to suspect thermistor the boiler does not relight when water in pipe has cooled and no warning leds are operated. any advise please

Boy's from the black stuff!! That's where I've heard that name before 🙂

Anyhoo's yossa, sounds like the h/w flow is only being detected for a short period of time. Without checking out mi's I couldn't say for deffo whether that'd be diaphragm of flow switch! Could be sensor but less likely IMO

Easiest way to quickly test the diverter is to turn on a tap and feel the central heating flow pipe under the boiler. If it gets hot, its the diverter (or a blocked plate).

That said it should fire back up when it cools down so sounds like something else.

Gizza Job

yer heating works fine, heating pipe is cool until heating switched on the pipe is way to hot to touch until water flow takes over, makes me think diverter working ok
