.... and looking for some advise. I have a Primatic system and I need to drain / shut-off the domestic side (hot) to carry out some work (fitting a new kitchen). Problem is I have no obvious stop valve on the feed from the tank. I tad worried because a few years back worked on the same system (central heating side) some how caused a vacuum lock and collapsed the tank 🙁 any advise would be most appreciated. Ta.

The cost of getting in a plumber is probably cheaper than a new cylinder again.

But if you want to have a go shut off the cold supply to the cylinder, either at the cylinder or incoming mains and then open hot taps to drain.

And welcome to the forum by the way.

Ta ... the response is much appreciated. I'll give it another go .. money's a bit tight at the momemt or I would be phoning a plumber.
