Hello ... Can someone tell me if parts for this boiler are now obsolete? It's having a new PCB fitted and I'm told if that doesn't fix it, the other parts it will need are obsolete? a compart S12a or something?

are you gas safe if so get your posts upto 10 (nonspamming) and pm gas man the mod

No I'm just a member of the public... I'm not a heating engineer or plumber. I suspect I'm being pushed into buying a new boiler when I may not need one.

you can still get parts but as it gets older some things get harder

problem being old boiler parts start to go up in price as they run short of them, Halstead though always overpriced their parts in the first place to make up for the boilers being sold cheap, and additionally, Halstead no longer exist. Best advice, start saving for a new boiler

Most parts are still available. But most major parts are over £200. Therefore if 2 parts are needed, why waste £400 on an old boiler that was not the best when new!

As above, this boiler has done you well, maybe time To save for a new one.
