Yes that will probably be it. Been let down by my existing plasterer and fed up of relying on subbies. Also it's pretty much a guarantee that if you rewire a house and you can plaster properly you will get the plastering work.

Yes that will probably be it. Been let down by my existing plasterer and fed up of relying on subbies. Also it's pretty much a guarantee that if you rewire a house and you can plaster properly you will get the plastering work.

Thats why I started doing my own. Sick of being let down.

i pizzed in the plasters bags and tool bucket on a site. they were pizzing in my shower trays so i got my own back.

Cake decoration is a good fall back trade for when the knees and shoulders are goosed.

Its a godsend in bathrooms knowing you can just rip all the plaster off and put it back yourself and also repair any damages yourself.

I think I paid around £400 for the week, they cant teach you skill as such but can tell you how to mix and apply which is vital.

That tends to get you chucked out of most courses to be honest so probably best you didn't do it.

Actually got the cash for the 2nd van now, just need to get the apprentice up to speed to make it worth buying it now.

Seriously trying to think about a business name change now as well. Dripbusters Ltd was great for one trade but I need to think of something that covers a few different trades now.

When it comes to ceilings dont be afraid to reboard....get yourself some adjustable props and use a strong magnet to find joists.

Reboard over Artex don't mess around scraping off or bonding over it (asbestos etc).

These are well worth the money, Silverline yes but are decent quality.

Not true.....i saw some last year and sent everyone i know a picture to prove it. Its all to do with the dog food not having ground up bones on it to bulk it out.

Be honest you've dropped something somewhere you can't reach and you think this 10day course will give you the freakish reach of a spread?

what is there to learn that takes a week? the best investment you can make is a plasterboard lift, sod poles n things. dont forget to round off the corners of your trowel or youll always be catching it and cleanliness is the answer to an easy job
