Hello
I have a problem with my Yplan heating> HW is working as normal CH is not working I have drained and cleaned / refilled the system and let out all the air out the Rads until water comes out . When I call for CH with the room stat I can see the valve move (not sure if is opening all the way as I never looked at the movement when the system was fully operational ) I can feel the pump running this was only changed last year.
Any suggestions ??
Many thanks
Dave

A Howsie says could be a sticker. If you are lucky the head might be removable without a drain down. If it is you can access the spindle to free it by gentle twisting it. Make sure the power is isolated before you remove the head. I only use Honeywell valves and on these the metal cover will have a raised nipple if it is removable.

If you are unable to find the make, what does it look like ie Colour What is the lid made of, metal or plastic. If metal, are you able to see a gap between the valve body and the base plate of the metal box bit. If plastic, what shape is it?

Many thanks to all the replies I have just logged on and read them , last night I decided to look at the valve it’s a Honeywell but not removable without a drain down as I could see a gasket under the actuator and once I removed one of the screws air / little water came out so I nipped it back up , so just removed the motor from its base and I could get to the leaver which activated the limit switch a manually open and closed it got the misses to fire up the heating and rads started to get warm I could see the motor itself operating so put it all back together and my CH is fully operational
Once again many thanks to all 🙂
