Hi all hope someone can help.
I had a Potterton Performa 24 with a pin clock fitted to get better control I fitted a Towerstat rf about 18 months ago which has stopped working (gone back to the clock) I have been trying to fit a Drayton Digistat +3rf but don’t seem to be having much luck with it.
I have posted some pictures up to show the wiring and where I connected to. :sweatdrop:

Hi the boiler will not switch on when set on heating and hot-water if l connect the scr as per the photos. It works on hot water. The scr clicks on when called for heating so the remote side works fine it must be some thing l,m missing on the connection of the boiler to the scr.

thanks for your reply.

The live link on the back plate is not required in your set up but that should not stop it working.

The drayton digistat is rubbish and very often the receiver does not work. Any other make would
be preferable.

Also check out the programmer. Are you using the the internal timer or external programmer.
if these are not switching then the boiler will not fire.

What is the micro(w) switch to which you refer to in photo 4?

First things first.

Cable needs to be heat resistant
Why have you used 3 lots of flex? not 1 is using a CPC (earth)
Link is not needed and could have blown the PCB if connected wrong
Sounds like a connection problem if you can use the over ride and it works.

Take the link out at the back of your wireing back plate it's not needed, and on your old pinned timer on the front of the boiler switch it down to constant and try using the rf stat you have installed see what you get.

What is the micro(w) switch to which you refer to in photo 4?[the micro switch sits on a differential valve which is connected to a diverter assembly,on the the front part a plunger pushes out when the boiler is calling for heating or hot water and makes the micro switch, this fires up the boiler.] I am using the external programmer it connects to the scr OK and l test the link by rising the temperature it switches the scr on to call for heating
thanks for reply.

My intent is to use the proper cable. I am just trying to get it to work then install with the right cable etc.
Thanks for your reply.

If you disconnect the digistat connections at the boiler and link these out and the boiler fires
up this would indicate a faulty receiver.

If the boiler does not fire then this would indicate a problem with the timer or programmer.

Don't forget to remove the link on receiver back plate.

Link taken out and left the pin timer on constant it works at treat :29: So go to the shop in the morning get the proper cable and install properly. Thank you so much for your help much appreciated :wings: and thanks to all the other reply's
