Of your new to plumbing I would get some experience doing plumbing then go at gas that's my thoughts but whatever you decide I wish you well

Depends where you're going with it. You're 46 now, the bones and joints start wearing at some point (Crap but true) If you do your level 3 you will open other avenues for yourself for when you want to start taking it a bit easier ( which most of us want eventually I reckon) and hence get you into supervisory/ management jobs etc
At your current level 2, then Gas you're setting yourself up to be long term tools, I'd go and do the level 3, which by the way is now the C&G diploma 6189-33 plumbing and heating (NVQ) and has about 6 gas modules included in the course and takes two years in total, so you come away fully gas qualified, with other add on's, G3, water regs, added bonus with level 3, better hourly rate! ....... Just my opinion, I say do the level 3. Best of luck to you 😉

been there and done as toggles suggested, knees have gone along with wrist now, back went part time as well. 46 isnt too late too start, wished I was younger now though
