Barwil
Greetings to you all,
My name is Simon Wilson and I am the MD and 4th generation owner of Barber Wilsons & Co Ltd. Many of you will say "WHO" and that will not surprise me in the least, but the company is the last surviving wholy family owned and run, i.e. independant, tap maker in the UK. BW is 105 years old and over the years has made many things including aircraft parts in WW2 and shell fuse caps in WW1. These days the production is almost exclusively devoted to consumer products for bathrooms and kitchens although we do make specialist taps for use in vented systems that are unusually fully and simply servicable.
We are still located in our original factory in Wood Green, North London and it surprises many that we still make taps in the UK. Whilst not unique in this respect, it is rather rare in these days when everything seems to come from the far east.
I have joined the forum just in case you come across our products in your travels and need some advice.
Cheers for now
Simon Wilson.
