hi im new and need dishwasher help

hi guys,i have a hoover hed 6612 dishwasher it starts the prerinse, light comes on then after 5mins the the prewash light comes on they both stay on flash and dishwasher beeps 30times and then aborts,have checked pump and a switch which i was told to check by the water pump both seem ok,any help would be fab as its driving me mad

Apart from a bit of inspecting by pulling apart its difficult to help from here

Google has brought up an issue wth a 'litre counter switch' on the mother board which has a faulty connection from this switch and requires to be cut away an soldered back in

Welcome to the forums

If you can afford a dish washer and 4 kids ,you should be able to afford to get someone in

This problem has probably been caused by over feeding the kids in the first place and also spoiling them by placing the food on plates that require cleaning,causing machine to be over used
Cut meals down to maybe once or twice a week and never give more than they can hold in their hands, thus cutting down on the need to wash dishes anyway, it builds up character

Anyway dishes that do need cleaning should be done by the kids, in between their 10 hr shift down pit and 6 hr potato picking shift in the local fields

Until you get your self sorted out as above ,maybe call up the manufacturer of the appliance and get a recognised repairer in, usually cheaper as hopefully they will carry parts required
