Hi there, I have a fairly old glow worm fuel saver boiler in my 1 bed flat that I rent out. The tenants have reported that the water is not getting hot when the heating is on, although independently, the hot water and heating work fine. Any advise very welcome before I call the plumbers out. Thanks in anticipation :stooge_curly:

More info required. If it's gravity, likely issues are sludged up, or burner pressure. If it's fully pumped it's electrical.
None of theses are diy jobs.

Given age of boiler, system could be gravity hot water, pumped heating,if so when pump starts gravity circulation stops. this could be due to build up of sludge. Drain system, flush through with clean water, add chemical cleaner, circulate for two weeks and drain down and flush again.
This is the only thing worth doing.
Not worthwhile adding motorised valves because any upgrade boiler will be a combi.

Thanks for the response. Yes its a gravity system so I will first try getting a plumber to drain and flush the system. Its been about 10 years since it was last done. Otherwise it'll be a new combi boiler. Appreciate the help guys
