The tap comes with a pop up waste system. The thread at the bottom of the waste where the trap should connect is only approx. 6mm. Consequently when I try and fit the trap it screws tight but the actual trap is completely loose and leaking ! Is there something wrong with the size of the thread or does it need a special trap ? Cheers.

This is what happens when you buy from such places as *********.com, cut back half the thread on on the trap. Never again will I fit ****

You could have a point. They've sent me a new one with what looks like the correct length of thread.

cut the nut on the trap in half then it will fit
