hot above cold pipe.

I always run the hot pipe above cold when running pipes horizontal, to stop any heat transfer but for a 2 foot section I am unable to do this. Will this be a major problem the hot running below the cold for this small section?

It's not essential, it just good practice.

Such workmanship might even make the good the bad & the ugly in the next gas installer magazine lol...

Just fit it & insulate if your worried of heat transfer of which would be pretty small I imagine...

Always, wherever possible, dont worry about a couple of foot though
