Hi,
I have a customer in Cornwall who has had someone install her hot water cylinder (Heatrae Sadia Indirect 210i Megaflo Eco Unvented cylinder I think, going there today and will check) in her stone built shed which has no insulation worth mentioning and nothing additional put around the cylinder.

As a side note she runs off a bore hole with all the associated pump, filter, etc in the same shed and last year the uninsulated pH cylinder froze and split (original plumbers said it wouldn't be a problem!)

I am surprised that the cylinder is installed as it is, surely this is not good?

Any comments/advice about changes required would be appreciated.

Cheers

It is Kernow after all - wacky things go on there I know we have a place near Camelford.

Insulation will save money v. quickly - it rarely freezes near the coast. Stick a frost-stat on
it 4 good luck there dead cheap.
