Hot water issue .

Hi,

combi boiler sealed system . Apartment

A customer of mine has phoned and stated they are getting hot water at there taps ( BATH,WHB ) for only 10-15 seconds it then dies and goes cold. Althought the gas ignition light is still on when the hot is still running and turned cold.

The hot at the kitchen sink right beside the boiler stays warm constantly.

Anyone came across this before. I want to resolve the issue quick.

I think it might be the main passing into the hot at thermostatic bar shower. As I am getting no hot here wats so ever.


Any other thoughts.

I've been called out to this problem before & you are right in thinking it is mains cold passing into the hot thru the bar shower. To rule out any doubt, whip the shower off & cap off with some 3/4" blanking nuts, if the hot water to bath taps is then ok just fit non-return valves to the shower feeds.
