Hi

I have a central heating system which is old but works fine but the hot water is too hot. It is fine when the heating is not one, as in it works off the cylinder stat but when the heating is on, the hot water is boiling. I have changed the 3 port valve as this was playing up and the problem was there before I changed the valve. Any suggestions?

Head and valve changed but I have just discovered bloody immersion has managed to get switched on. Rammed in towels or my little one!! llI know later if the water cools if that was the problem.

lots of things need checking

wiring of 3 port valve? dodgy valve
cylinder stat settings?
reverse circulation?

like above if you got a pro in he would have it sussed in 5 minutes and probably corrected in an hour 🙂

Something else I have just remembered. Hot water works perfect in the summer. The c/h is not on timer or constant and the h/w works correctly via the stat. Its just when the c/h is on timer or constant. Valve working fine. Any comments
