hi chaps....having spent most of yesterday installing a whole house pump the customer is now complaining about the noise........is there anyway of damping this down a tad?

You might find that a purpose-designed anti-vibration pad helps but don't expect miracles because the 5dBA reduction claimed by the Stuart Turner example I have in mind is noticeable but not dramatic. Stuart Turner have a useful checklist of things to consider/try:


Is there space to use a piece of paving slab as the base? If you post a photo people might have other suggestions.

Pumps are never silent. If that's what the customer wants they are never going to be happy because "physics".
