I saw a 4 inch one once in a high level water tank for filling up steam engines this reminded me of it centralheatkingFor an Old commercail tank maybe?
No water hammer with that one Shaun it's an Equilibrium type & don't go swopping the copper float for a plastic one as they are a match pair.2” tank ball valve and float tbh there not used these days as they cause water hammer
