Had a call out today, when you run the hot tap the towel rail gets hot
when i get there find its a combi boiler, customer also said since he's turned the towel rail off he's noticed a change in pressure at the tap, also found a leak on a rad but he said he'd never had to top up the boiler pressure
Had a hunch straight away but thought nobody could do what i was thinking and walk away
Went back to the boiler disconnected the filling loop and opened the drain off valve, water came out at pressure and wouldnt stop, just kept flowing and flowing
property has been resently refurbished, everything is now in pushfit so its highly unlikely theres an old filling loop left somewhere
That leaves somewhere there is a cross over between the water and the heating circuit
My question is this, how can someone do this, presumably get paid, then walk away, he couldnt have not known
The only redeemable thing I can see is I dont think he put inhibitor in, so he may have had a bit of a conscience
