past two days I've been dragging various manufacturers over hot coals !!

kestons have bit the most.

Having irked them enough, the guy who now manages kestons got in touch himself. (Darren finley)

as some of you know ideal brought out kestons and the new domestic range are re branded logic plus's with the keston flue but only 2 years warranty where as the logic plus has 7.

Turns out they will be launching an installer scheme in the next year hopefully.
they have not decided what benefits you will get but one advantage being able to buy an extra 3 years warranty for £99 inc vat.

not the greatest BUT atleast if us guys have to install one we can offer that and its a little piece of mind.
if you have to install one, give the local rep a ring and prod them about the difference in warranty and it should prompt them to offer it Before the installer scheme goes up.
(i can ring up now and get it done)

just thought thats a good little but of info to arm yourself with!!!

in other news, they have given me all their training courses for free. Both domestic and commercial range
and I've got the chance to go out and shadow their blokes on servicing, fault finding and repairs on both domestic and commercial 😀

NOW next week i'll start on vaillant........

Why would anyone volunteer to work on a keston haha, if I never saw another one again it would be too soon. I hate the bloody things. How did you go about sorting it all out though? Do you normally have to pay for the courses?

My view is, if you can work on a pain in the backside pile of crap.
then you will be able to work on most things!

even the regional manager admitted how much a pile of crap the old domestic kestons are!
hes glad they have moved over to the new design.

Originally i tweeted ideal, asking the difference in warranty despite the boilers just having a different flue.
they had an office jockey ring up who couldn't answer my questions very well, another person also ummmed arrrd then i got put in touch with the main guy.

he had a list of training dates sent to me which had all the prices deleted off.

yup have to pay normally.

i asked him about shadowing one of their engineers.
he was shocked and amazed, said no one had ever even asked.

i have time to fill so it will be great for me!
