as titel really - i normally charge 60 for service of any appliances, 90 for back boilers.

but i was recently asked to service an unvented cylinder with electric element - so its just the safety aspects, and the pressure vessel check. now the apartment complex is new and the lad said to me that a lot of them have to have this service due to it being a lease hold? i was thinking of hitting the complex with some leaflets or letter offering the service, but what would be a reasonable price - i done the service for the lad who told me about it for 45 - my minimum rate for the first hour - but i was literally in and out in 20 mins and that was with a chat.

any ideas?

i think we charge £50 for unvented but your making me think i should look at my prices

ive always added the risk factor into my prices as im putting my name to something i suppose even though i do the job correctly and dont cut corners - i just dont like bbu's - boilers are always 60 squid - just these unvented cylinders are just literally checking the safety valves arent stuck (probably have one pass on me one day soon) and checking the pressure in the vessel - so thought i could perhaps offer it for 25 - 30 if i get a lot of them - blast them off in one day - ideal way of thinking in reality it will come in drips and drabs

what about the ones needing a sacrificial anode change, fair bit more work and risk involved?
