Customer has a Potterton Suprima 70L and wants to instal a megaflow to boost hot water pressure.

How do i find out if this boiler can be used with an unvented cylinder & also would the heating circuit have to be pressurised as well with a megaflow rather than vented and pumped as it is now ?

Thank you in advance.

Any boiler can heat a megaflow... Just because your fitting a unvented cylinder does not mean you have to make the heating system pressurised!!!

the cylinder has to be for by a G3 unvented installer & will need the 2 port primary shut off valve installed on the coil as normal etc...

Have an unvented ticket & not planning on touching boiler, but Heatrae Sadia technical guys tried to tell me that the indirect cylinders spec means the heating should be pressurised. So I'm assuming they are wrong.

usually any boiler that has an overheat cut out,can be linked to an unvented cylinder,or converted to a sealed heating system. Not an old g/worm spacesaver for example,if the stat fails even though the 2 way valve is closed, residual heat can cause a risk
