I'd forgotten how much I truly dislike GlowWorm's until this afternoon! I hadn't worked on one for a while and this one was giving F4 fault! I reset it and up it lit! Heyho! I thought! Then I noticed the burner lifting off!! FGA'd and the bleedn' thing went off the scale!

Stripped and cleaned hex etc. condensate clear, back together .... OFF THE SCALE!!

Have you ever tried to set the CO2 on these? What a faff!! Took me a flippin hour! Max rate in the mi's says anti clockwise to increase CO2! Ball cox!! It was the opposite! Then it come to the minimum rate...! :32: Could I heck as like get it close to mi's onCO2. Ended up adjusting to less than o.oo4 ratio regardless of CO2 reading!

Anyone had similar issues with these scrapheap's ?

Rant over ...!!! 🙂

To be fair not had too many issues with these. Hydroblock leaks a lot on DHW outlet plastic bit. I think the flue hoods on these Glowworms are prone to failure though. I had to replace one on a non Combi version as was all rusty in case on a service on the readings were high on this.

This was condensing ... I've had 3 of these, or their sisters, die on me when I interrupted the power! Try explaining that to the custard!! 🙂

I've never had trouble adjusting them really. I'm sure everyone I've adjusted, I've turned the screw anti-clockwise to increase, using a flat blade screwdriver, and then to adjust minimum, you sue a 2mm hex key, and clockwise to increase. Are you sure you were turning the correct ones?

I've done that many a time 🙂

The MI's are as clear as mud for these boilers.

Just a thought, was the flue collector ok???

these are prone to cracking and can cause high CO readings and a high ratio 🙂

The potentiometer I think makes them really easy to get into max and min too.

diamondgas if the min co2 is well out you'll be back because its making the farting noise lol!!

Not like worcestor zb's with the bearing or baffle plate (can't remember the name) under the fan. If that's missing or damaged the min is a pain to set right on them
