I have a toilet rim plastic disinfectant holder stuck in the u bend ..should i buy a toilet plunger or a toilet snake auger ...?

Don't plunge it, it needs to be pulled back out the bend, otherwise you'll have a blockage further down.
And throw the rest of those away.

If you have wire coat hanger or other similar piece of wire, make a hook on the end and try and hook and pull the block back.

Tooth brushes are another common object to get stuck in the WC trap.

Sometimes you just have to get your hand in there and pull it out.

Thanks for your reply ..looking for a wire coat hanger out of 50 and not one!! they are all plastic now ..i am wondering whether to buy a roll of this for £3 ...its plastic coated but it depends if i can make some sort of a hook ....if that fails then i will try this £24 from amazon ,note it has a claw like grip fitment on the end that you operate with the gun trigger ...failing that then ill have to call out a plumber ...
