Hello suvetty, welcome aboard www.UKPlumbersForums.co.uk. Stick around, I'm sure you'll like the place. 🙂

its gone into the syphon mech

simple mistake that you wont make again lol

?Its a case of taking the syphon out and accessing from beneath

There wil be a plastic nut at the bottom of your cistern (make sure cistern is empty) that you nee to undo to release the syphon then you can push agaist the spring an recover the point to hook on to

am sure with an opening line of single white female they will be dozens offering to come round and sort it for ya.

WOW! thank you ever so much Tom - thought I had foobared the job for a wee while there. Off to plumb and hopefully will be able to report back as successful! haha

haha: not so lucky there Bod - could of been a runner bean unfortunately not, baked bean maybe , half baked! 😉

Fit up the hook, lever and link before screwing the syphon back to the porcelain.

Could it be a damsel in distress

i have done that a few times, can normally get a finger under the syphon and push it back up, ps, if it was a round syphon you can spin the hooks 🙂

Thats the way, saves taking the siphon out, could be close coupled.

If I am taking the link off I put a pair of mini mole grips on the piston to stop it springing off.

I just move quick and swear a lot. usually muffled because i've a new link in me gob! lol
