I have an ideal FF280 Boiler. It has developed an unusual fault. It fires up correctly. When it reaches heat the burner trips out, however, the fan continues to run. The boiler does not start up again untill the boiler is completely cold. I have had the fan, the pressure switch and the control board replaced, however, the fault still continues. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply justalex. Pardon my ignorance, but if it is the overheat stat or the thermistor surely the boiler would shut down, however, the fan keeps running. The plumber is scratching his head, my wife is looking to hang mine out on a spike!

Get a different plumber. Not a difficult problem to fix

What are you saying John. The boiler problem is not hard to fix or getting a new plumber is not hard to fix. If its the boiler you are referring to I would welcome your suggestions.
