Boiler packed in and not display showing. electrician has been round and checked there is power to boiler. PCB? Or could it be anything else?

PCB could be the culprit you need a gas registed engineer to repair legally
What is your location

Most likly board if you aint got any display but power going in, you got mi showing fault finding section but these boilers are junk though

Thanks for the replies guys. I am a GSR engineer. I just dont have any breakdown/diagnostics experience. First thought was to obviously replace pcb....but didnt wanna make this costly error if it could be something simple.....aka fuse on pcb!

If you send your details to the mods to get in the GSR forum. I done a write up on resistances to check before pcb replacement

IF your a gas safe engineer you would not be be asking how to fix an isar

If you are genuinely gas safe registered then blow me down

Experience

Thats exactly it mate.....experience.....and i have none when it comes to breakdowns. All i do is install, very little else. I do not profess to be an expert fault finder but i am trying and willing to learn. I am only 24 so unfortunately dont have 20 years experience with breakdowns...but everyone has to start somewhere!

no better place to start than an isar.lol.

check 240v into boiler, if not check 3 amp fuse, check 240v on on/off switch, remove purple wires n plug display straight onto pcb, this rules out purple wiring harness of corrosion fault on conections (common fault). check quickblow fuse on pcb, if all of these prove ok then change pcb, simples 🙂
