Ideal logic combi

Hi guys and girls,

thank you for your help, guidance and viewing.

I've just had a call from a customer saying his boiler (ideal logic 30 combi) is showing error code L2 advised him to try resetting it but it don't seem to be doing anything.

Have you come across this error before ? If so what would you advise me to check ?

you have no gas at the boiler, is the isolation valve open?

They're all fine plenty of gas.

L2 is ignition lockout, ignition electrode usually but have had the occasional spark generator.

Dirty electrodes in my experience.

Thank you folks. I checked it out earlier and nailed it to the electrodes going back tomorrow and will be replacing both of them. I'll let you guys know how I get on tomorrow.

Check earth continuity , check it back to the actual earth wire in the T&E not the screws in face of fused spur.

Thank you I changed both electrodes and it fired up stright away.
