hi guys i went on the ideal logic course yesterday and to be fair they dont seem a bad boiler. all tested at the factory and easy to service. has anyone got any experience of them good or bad.

cheers

paul

I have fitted 100's both system and combi very good boilers in my opinion

i nearly converted after i went to there place over in hull but didnt quite get there stuck with the baxis

after the isars and icos ,no thanks regardless of how good they say thay are stick to baxi like bod no hassle then

I am no sales bloke and only like the isars for the repairs/wages but the logic is a good boiler a really good boiler which in my opinion knocks spots off baxi but then I am not a fan of baxi. It always seems to me that some are good and some are not with baxi

Isars and icos seemed good for the first 12- 18months and we all know where that led us - it will take me a lot longer before i trust Ideal again

I have installed the logic since it first came out in 08/09 ish
cracking boiler for the money and customer service if needed is far better than most
ps I do not work for Ideal

BAXI duotec 1/potterton heatmax are very good combis,i am a BAXI fan through and through but they can only seem to make good combis/system boilers,i hate ideal with a vengeance hence the axe requirement BUT there is no excuse for BAXI,s heat only boiler the solo he it is a total pile of:****: and thankfully BAXI are planning on binning it and bringing out hopefully a more reliable boiler but until BAXI do the ideal logic heat only suits people on a budget,is there a good make of heat only? and no dont suggest Worcester they are rubbish as well

Fitted around 70 logic+ boilers and fInd them a great unit. I've had one fault on a combi 30+ and ideals were out next day to sort it. Great boiler, bad reputation from the older days. I think a lot of the problem is that people slate the logic who have never fitted or worked on one.

I have been installing them for over 3 years and I have had only 2 real issues with the Boiler and they ideal were out within 48 hours
I must have fitted at least 150 in the last couple of years
Intergas is my preferred choice but the money does not always stretch that far

Ideal didn't do themselves any favours by keeping the isar and icos going for so long. They weren't helped by the fact that a lot were chucked in under the warmfront scheme. I quite like the logic boilers and think that the combi is better than the entry level Worcesters.

Fitted a couple of logic+ 's over Christmas. As the only place open was plumb centre so my usual wernt available. Found them nice and easy to fit, light, compact and run well. Also was getting a free bundle of tube from plumb centre with each boiler.
I'd go as far as to say I'm converted and will defo fit this boiler when people don't want to pay for Vaillant or Worcester.

I like them.....fitted a fair few without any problems.

plenty of work in the next few years then ay,lol cheapness ive been fitting the new gloworm betacom A, basically valliant in disguise and heatmax duotec for better quality fitted loads havnt had any problems except one with hot water fault and if with baxi works they come out nextday

I might try one also ,I have installed an ideal for a customer who was selling so not an issue as quoted for an intergas but did not have a 22mm gas supply , whats the difference between the logic and logic plus is it a preheat ?

5 year warranty
chrome plated internal pipework (honestly)
digital display

the boiler is the same internally.

This might seem like a daft question but here goes.....Are the Ideal Logic and Isar interchangeable?
i.e Are the feed pipes the same etc? Can you basically remove one for the other or is it like any other combi-swap?
See,told you it was a daft 'un.

I have fitted loads of logic+ and they are really easy to install and look good, have a lcd display which tells customer if there is a leak and to get back installer etc, service + repair wise they look easy to work on, I prefer it to the new duotec anyway and the worcester junior for ease of installation.

i went to my local independant merchants and still managed to get a logic+ and more copper cheaper than plumb centres pipe bundle, by about £100, I hardly ever use plumb centre so my terms are probably not so great
