Have Worcester gas boiler, iflo programmer always set for continuous hot water and heating, room thermostast adjusted manually to control heating, hot water tank thermostat set at 60 degree.
Turned room stat down from 24 degrees to 10 degrees and boiler should have turned off as normal but today it kept going, radiators far too hot and hot water scalding, pump still working as well. Turned room stat to zero and hot water tank stat to zero, boiler and pump still working and not shutting off. Tried to change programmer to timed output and off positions but it would not respond. Disconnected electric supply at the mains for a couple of minutes, re-connected and everything is working fine. Can now change programmer settings, room stat and hot water stat all responding. Seems to me that the programmer is locking up for some reason, this same problem happened one day about two months ago.
Just re-checked programmer while boiler and pump are working and it is possible to change settings on the programmer as normal.
Before I consider a replacement is there anything else that I should look for that maybe faulty?
Any recommendations of programmer, bearing in mind that I only ever need it to be on continously or central heating to be off in summer.
Thanks
mick.
