I heard they are a pain in the arse is there anything i should look out for? It comes with a jig that goes on the wall first.

once the jig is on the wall what do i have to do before fitting the boiler? just silicone grease the prv and vessel connections?

I fit a few Worcester boilers and think they are easy enough, watch your hands on the casing it's blooming sharp!

Use a bit of paste on the fibre washers so they don't fall off when you lift the boiler on.
If you take the prv connection off of the jig to screw it to the wall make sure you put it back! I've forgotten when rushing and it means removing the boiler again to refit. And always give it a push up when you have fitted the boiler (PRV)

you mean push up the white plastic bit on the prv right?

Make sure that the customer has no record of your phone number so you never have to go back and repair it.

great no pipe tails, nice user friendly boiler

Haha. You can solder right 😉

just makesure the system is clean.
If you're going to look after the boiler, you dont want to be changing the prv!

Easiest way to change it!

next time theres a thread about vailaint vs worcester the answer should be the difference between a 5pm finish or a late one!

Remember after fitting a Worcestor, wash your hands and go to church.........You will be covered in DEVILS *****

I sliced a :nono: big chunk out of my hand puting the jig up I suppose I can thank Worcester for that .

the first one I fitted was the jr with the plastic jig and I stupidly pre piped it - heck did I struggle to get the boiler on it . it flexed like a jelly

Considering they cost what they do compared to other boilers, I'm far from impressed by installation process. Not having pipe tails is just really annoying

Worcester are pants ,dont like them ,never have, told you all they were over hyped tat years ago stuck with baxi,s duotec he/hea,easy life no stress, parts easy to change if they need replacing

fitted quite a few 105s but shyed away from baxi when the duo tec come out .past few years fitted mainly glowworms as landlord got good price on them they are easy to fit but a pig to fault find and fix and parts are expensive . since mid last year convinced landlord to see if he can get baxis at cost and he has so now fitting them - parts cheap and lots of space inside for hands saying that not had many problems

it pains me to say but Worcestor do have some of the best after sales service, just hope Vaillant would buy them out and put the same input in as they are doing with Gloworm
