Have any of you had problems with pressure drops on combi's greater than 1mbar when running new gas main. Had two in the the last 6 months that had dropped to 18mbar and 19mbar. Both were feeding ectec 831's only via 28mm pipe with ample size left for at least a cooker and gas fire. Its not the pipe sizing or debris thats the problem and the regulator in both cases produces 21mbar?. Have spoke too three friends recently who have said they get the same problems, two saying all the time.

are you looking for a fault with the boiler, or with gas main and operating pressures ?

vaillants are very restrictive between gas isolation valve and gas valve the MI require 17mb min at gas valve test point

this applies to several boilers weve fitted test nipples down stream of the gas valve to find enough preasure at the appliance to meet regs
