Hello,
I had a gas engineer visit to disconnect a gas fire. However, he was stumped by the gas meter's regulator. He claimed to have never seen a setup like it. The engineer did not feel confident in disconnecting the gas supply to perform the job, so we didn't go ahead.
The engineer phoned Gas Safe to get some advice. It sounds like the meter was identified as a medium pressure meter, but they still seemed a bit unsure on how to proceed.
Does this look like an unordinary setup? If so, I'd like to understand why it's so odd, and what my options are to make it more servicable/maintainable.
The property is in the UK. The house was built around 1900.
Thanks
