if the water smells its usually the filling loop allowing water from the heating to enter the main take the hose of the loop and see whay happens then
ive only come across this problem once before and it was in the early days of combis when most had 2 stop cocks to fill them
low preasure on the main ment the boiler didnt over fill but when hot was run heating water was drawn in to the hot
seems unlikley now most boilers have check valves built into the loop but worth checking
only other place the waters could mix would be the plate heat exchanger but usually this would overfill the heating and lift the prv
poor hot water is probablt the three way stuck or the plate heat exchanger blocked

The heat exchanger is inside the boiler and you would not legally be allowed to touch this. You'll have to get a GSE in to rectify problem, but with the boiler you have it could be anything.

just found out that if just turn the hot tap a little on i have hot water all the time, but how comes it goes luke warm if i turn it on more?
