Isar Idea HE24 question - display and burner LED

Hi all
i have just moved into a new flat and have a question about my he24 boiler. I gather you get a lot of these so I apologise in advance. I think I'm just being paranoid


The boiler appears to be working ok, delivering hot water when I open tap, and heating the radiators when I bring the desired temperature up on the thermostat.

However the rest of the time when nothing is needed of the boiler the burner LED is constantly flickering on and off (like morse code!). I don't believe the boiler is actually firing up at all (no noise for one thing) but just wanted to make sure this is normal operation and I am not wasting any money!

If it's working leave it. Get an annual service and that's it. When it breaks replace don't repair it's a horrific boiler

Best thing is to check your MI book for the boiler and if you dont have one then call up there helpline and they will tell you,

Do you have a room stat in the property calling for heat ? or is it not when heating comes up to temp the burner cuts off and pump overrun with flashing burner light

i have the HE35 at home and my burner light flashes when the timer is calling for heating to be on but the room stat is satisfied. yes it has a preheat on it which shows up as a "t" sort of letter on the display.
