I'm really pleased for them, a good day spoilt by the news of Rio Ferdinand's wife dying of cancer aged 34. Feel sorry for the lad and his kiddies.
 
Wishing them all the best. Seem to be very down to earth people.
I would rather see money going to them than some of the others

Figures for 2013 showed that the entire monarchy cost each individual taxpayer 56p per year.

Wow!

I would say that with inflation and the new baby that may have risen to the dizzying heights of 57p each! Or 5p per month.....

Again.... Wow!

But let's not allow the facts to get in the way of a good old fashioned 'us vs them' gripe, shall we.....
 
So Diana is back then? Who would have guessed. At the very least, David Cameron can now sleep easy. The poor sod had been having sleepless nights, tormented with the idea that if a boy, he would be called Edward and that will give Ed Miliband a better odds at the election? Twart

do we need any of them in a modern world, if there was a republic you would have to endure a president or the like but then again a coup can get get rid of them anytime you feel like a change 🙂

One of the countries that deposed their monarchy turned into France.

You want that? I certainly don't. It's the various governments we've had since the war that have brought this country down, not the monarchy.
 
trouble is they do little to improve it now, apart fm the 2 at the top, the rest have proven to be a waste of space along with the politicians, apart fm that France isnt too bad a place, we will all be moving there once the snp gains control and decides to amalgamate england into scotland 🙂

The monarchy actually bring in huge revenue to Britain granted mostly London but the money comes in regardless
