there was a link on here a few weeks back selling I think at plumb center for about £10 or £12.
I bought a set for about £40 a few years back, they are worth it

trip to plumb center it is then come down in price alot cheers for info guys :vanish:

They are the DB's basically an adapted crowsfoot wrench aimed at plumbers. Some of the plastic backnuts on cheap taps don't fit perfectly but use brass and they are a dream. Good value at 40 quid. Even better if on offer somewhere.

Sorry that was rubbish. Not the sentiment but missed your point. Yes they do sound cheap but they do look genuine.

Plumbs told me that they had sold out of them the other day.
I bought mine some time ago for less than £12.
Screwfix are knocking them out at £54.

If you go to Plumb center online and stick one in yor basket you can search all Centers for stock, then reserve for pick up if you want one. Pay in branch.

search for T04610

I've found 2 out of 6 Centers have stock local to me, picking one up this a.m.

Got mine from a local independent merchant £12plus vat

Used them for the first time the other day on a plastic back nut and split it!

No worries used the old one and used less force! The lever mechanism enables you to get real good torque on the nut (too much it seems)

great, no need to have my other tap wrenches now!!!

Stock up on brass 1/2 and 3/4 backnuts and ditch any plastic nonsense that comes with the new taps. If basin/bath looks fragile whack a washer in. Almost guaranteed no call backs for loose taps 😀

I bought mine for £9.99 +VAT about 2 months ago after some of the lads on here said about the deal( thanks) . Plumb Center staff had to look it up as they were unaware of the deal !

Picked mine up yesterday, Plumb C said no more stcok available other than that in Branches already.
Tried it on my own taps, Impressed with it, especially for the cost.

Searching Plumb C up to 120 miles radius form me I can only find a total of 8 in stock, 1 in each branch.

The set from TS are much better because you can put them on your impact gun, taps off in 40 seconds, you don't need to hold tap either as the torque is applied directly to the backnut.
