Hi all,

i need a bit of help regarding wiring of the 2 port zone valve on the JG WWC.

I spoke with some girl in technical at JG last week and she told me to wire the L N E to the UFH Zone valve terminals as per the diagram, next she told me to disregard the grey & orange wires and put a link from the main incoming power supply int the "in" of the boiler run signal.

i was under the impression that the Orange wire was the "valve move" signal and the grey was the "confirmation" signal that the valve has operated and the pump / boiler could fire. I can't see how this is possibly correct!

Pics of where I am up to:-

If someone could give me a pointer in the right direction as I could do with getting some heating on!

Cheers,

Andy

your confusing the wiring on a two port and three port on a two port grey and orange are in and out of a micro switch which makes when the valve opens orange usually used to fire the boiler

So just to clarify, the LNE will power and operate the valve andthe Orange wire will have power out of it once he valve has moved?

Th Orange would then become my live switch to enable the boiler.

Hi All,

Got the the zone valve sorted out. Next problem.....

Is it possible that the tee off to the radiators (temp connections at the moment until those rooms are ready!) is too close to the inlet of the UFH pump and could be dragging the water back from the rad flow?

I'm not getting very hot water on the pump side of the zone valve and all I can think of is its pulling the cold water from the off side of the UFH system through the radiator circuit and into the flow into the pump?

Any thoughts on this? If this is the case how could I rectify the problem?

Cheers,

Andy

I do have a picture of the setup but the forum won't let me attach links to the post!
