Thanks would a check valve on the hot reduce the hot pressure/flow even more. Is already quite poor.

Yes if it does it is not mixing in tap. Another way is fit tails to tap and take a mouth of water and blow it down each tail to see. Flow will be poor on hot as tap needs 0.3 bar 3 meter head of water and I bet hole in flexis is small.
Any advice please? I have always worked on new builds so been balanced supplies of a combi or unvented hot water with balanced cold.
