hi, im moving a kitchen sink to the other side of the room, the waste from the sink that is in at moment passes through the bathroom and out to the gully, but when i move the sink its going to be around 6 meters away from the gully, will i be ok running 40mm waste pipe with an anti syphon trap or will i need to up the size of the pipe. thanks

I recall that regulations relating to pipe lengths are only with regards to connecting directly to a stack.

Hi. With out more info its difficult to be exact. I have come across problems with long runs. I would use 2"pipe the extra cost is small and out weighed by performance. Sink waste often have W/machines and dish washer branches inserted, the frictional resistance of say a 1 1/2" pipe over a long length can result in a back up situation occurring. Good luck
