I'm having a problem with my kitchen hot tap, in that it won't give me any hot water. There is great water pressure, and no problem with the water coming out, but the boiler won't kick in for it, and so no hot water. We have a combi boiler. Running a hot tap in the bathroom for a minute or so means the boiler kicks in and you get hot water, and the shower is hot, so I know the boiler is working. I had noticed that over the last couple of months the kitchen tap had to be run for longer and longer before the hot water came through, and now it just doesn't. So, in summary, the boiler is giving hot water to the rest of the house, and there is water coming out of the kitchen tap (just not hot water). Any suggestions on what's going on, and how to fix it?

You're going to need a GSR engineer as the fix will require the boiler case to be opened.

Hello, thanks for the reply. We rent, so I'll let our landlord know. I was just hoping it would be something I could fix myself rather than waiting around.
