Hi all,

So I've decided to start doing some diy jobs myself and I'm fast discovering my new house was thrown together a bit willy nilly when it came to the water supply. I'm currently trying to change the kitchen tap and after undoing the bolt underneath I then wanted to remove the hot and cold feed. BUT I can't see anywhere on the brass pipe to undo it from the existing kitchen tap. There appears to be no valve to turn off either to isolate the kitchen tap so the whole water supply is off while I sort this. Any advice great fully received 🙂

You will have to cut the pipes after turning and draining the water off

I was worried you would say that! Hoped I had posted this in the right place. Appreciate that quick feedback

It's been soldered on and really should have been fittings that could have easily detached the mixer from the pipes - like brass connectors.
Those sink mixers come with copper tails that are really part of the tap and not meant for removing.
Get a plumber in, as you are going to struggle with the basics.
