Ladder rad with auto air release valve cool. Why?

I have a tall ladder radiator in my bathroom that has an auto release valve fitted but still goes cool a couple of weeks after bleeding. My plumber says that it is due to the dirt and sediment in my central heating system that keeps blocking up the valve. Surely these valves are made to operate in systems that have been installed for some years consequently gathering a little dirt in the water. Mine is 12 years old so not ancient. I am now retired so cannot keep climbing steps to bleed the rad so wondered if there is anything that can be done to rectify it.

i've never found one that works properly yet on any rad.
your system must be drawing in air etc if you have to keep bleeding it.
what type of system is it ?

As I am not a plumber I can only tell you this. I have a conventional boiler - not condensing and not combination, and I have a hot water tank in an airing cupboard. I gather the system is sealed. However, because of the rad air problem I guess this is not the case. I hope this answers your question adn hopefuly it may solve a problem for me.

how many tanks do you have in the loft ?
do you have a red expanssion tank anywhere & a filling loop you use to fill the system ?

It says on my hot water tank "Mains Pressure Hot Water System", and as far as I know there is only one small water tank in my loft.

I do not have a red expansion tank and - filling loop? What's that?

if its a mains pressure hot water cylinder it will be unvented hw.

the small tank will be the f/e tank for the heating system so it will be vented system.
so your heating could be drawing in air from the vent pipe over the f/e tank which is ending up in your rad.
