This is the first I've ever heard of this scheme.

I think its absolutely disgusting. Just encourages illegal gas work IMHO. Who collects the parts from pts? There's no way I'd go and pick them up for someone else on their account. Even if I was to fit them.

Ive never liked pts and I hate them even more now. :-(

did you try and get more details maybe we could do the same. give us guys the edge for a change

found this after 5 minutes apparently great discounts on baxi and vaillant boilers

it costs £149.00 if you have 1-3 properties £249 if you have 4-25 properties and 349 for between 26-999 properties.
the catch is you have to list all the properties that you own.
now if you were clever or daft enough i'm not sure which,
you could easily get around this by adding every tom dick and harriet that you know and trust that would allow you to include there address aswell.

its worth thinking about if you have a few houses already.

just put my details on the web site and a guy just called about the membership. i ummed and arred so as an example £470 + vat for the baxi duo 28 and 540+ for the vaillant pro 28. that seems blinking cheaping

yep that's the price she gets them for glow worm ultrcom 2 24kw £430

Its annoying that only landlords can get access to this price. it also shows the mark up that pts are making on the boiler. although it could be a numbers game.

they also do really cheap kitchens aswell and that price at pts isnt just limited to boilers.

There's no reason why we couldn't.

All we need is numbers.

They've got 1000+ landlords, all buying off their account, giving them a big discount.

We need to find a few hundred plumbers and gas fitters and open a joint trade account at PTS.

How many Arms members do we have?

Pts don't sell INTERGAS so that's half of us out 🙂

That's disgusting, Pts should be giving that to us not landlords. It would be like a timber supplier doing better deals for plumber s than carpenters.

Do we know if PTS are having a stand at PHEX, cos i just might pay them a visit if they are.

I can't believe I am going to stand up for PTS.

This won't be there doing. No merchant, even the mighty Travis Perkins (who own PTS now) have enough margin to offer those kinds of discounts, regardless of the size of customer. Merchant margins on boilers are paper-thin.

It will be a deal done between the manufacturer(s) and the purchasing group - probably a landlord association.

PTS could say no to the manufacturers at the end of the day they are a plumbers merchant not a landlords merchant.

They could, but one of the others would do it. And PTS don't pretend to have a trade-only policy do they? I thought they would sell to anyone?
